Erika Amazake, named Arika Amazake (甘酒 アリカ Amazake Arika) in Japan, is a prominent character in Medabots.

Description[]

Erika is a member of the journalism club from the Riverview School, and aims to become a journalist when she grows up. Her best friend is Ikki. She is feisty and a bit bossy, often forcing Ikki to cooperate with her investigations. She owns a Sailor-Multi, a sailor type Medabot, that she calls Brass.

She usually wears a light blue shirt, pink overalls, and dark blue Converse sneakers.

In the games[]

Medarot 2 and Medabots (GBA)[]

Erika is a friend of Ikki that aims to become a reporter when she grows up, and recently bought a camera. In the beginning of the game Erika has a practice Robattle with Ikki to teach him the basics, and she published about Ikki's victory against The Screws in his first day as a Medafighter. Later, she investigates about a Medabot that is tickling girls (flipping their skirts in the Japanese version), and convinces Ikki to dress like a girl to help find the culprit, a member of the Rubberobo Gang. During the game she also does other investigations and is kidnapped by the Rubberobo Gang.

In this game, Ikki must trigger certain events in order to build a relationship with Erika. If succeeded, Erika will give him the Cat Medal at the final event.

At first Erika only has a Sailor-Multi, but later she also uses Pretty Prime. Sailor-Multi's level is low, though.

Medarot 3[]

Arika participates on the Medalympics.

Medarot 4[]

Arika helps rescue Karin.

Medarot DS[]

Arika realized her dream of becoming a reporter.

Medarot 7[]

At the end of each scenario Arika writes an article to the Medajournal. Arika helself is not seen in the game, except for a flashback in the opening scene.

Medarot R[]

Arika saw Ikki's first Robattle and published it as the main story in the school's newspaper. This made the Screws angry as Arika gave more importance to it than to their victory, and they went after her. Ikki saved Arika from the Screws and she published about his victory over them, the news calling the attention of Koji.

Medarot Navi[]

Arika is one of the characters from previous games that appears after the main story is completed. Her partner Medarot is Sailor-Multi.

Medabots AX[]

Erika is one of the opponents in the tournament, having Sailor-Multi as her leader while her partner has Cure Hand, Sala-Arm and Quick Alert.

Medabots Infinity[]

Erika is investigating what is happening in the park, and is the first opponent in the game, using Sailor-Multi.

Medarot Dual[]

Arika appears in a DLC mission partnered with Sailor-Multi.

Medarot S: Unlimited Nova[]

Arika appears in the first story and in the retelling of Medarot 2. She also appears as Medarotter equipments.

Erika

Erika is a friend of Ikki who also attends the same school. She is a strong-minded girl who is always bossing Ikki around. However, she also has a sweet feminine side and a soft spot for Ikki. Erika is the reporter for the school's newspaper, the Riverview Review,[1] known in Japanese as the Ginjou Elementary School Newspaper (ギンジョウ小学校新聞) in Medabots[2] and the Amazake Newspaper (甘酒新聞) in Medabots Spirit.[3] She will do anything for a scoop, always looking for a story. Because of this, she tends to follow Ikki and Metabee around time to time because of their ability to find trouble. It is speculated that she has a crush on Ikki due to her jealousy when Ikki flirts with Karin and Nae. Her Medabot, Brass, is her camera girl.
