Churlybear, known in Japanese as Charlie Bear (チャーリーベア Chārībea), is a BER-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 2.
Description[]
Churlybear has a similar appearance to his predecessor Bettybear, resembling a stuffed teddy bear with a zipper on his chest and a tag on his left ear (absent in his Medarot 2 Core sprite). His head and limbs are larger than Bettybear's, and his attack power and armor durability have been significantly improved. Churlybear specializes in gravity-based attacks, and can use his anti-gravity abilities to float just above the ground.
In the games[]
Churlybear is a hover-type Medabot and one of the quintessential users of gravity-based attacks in Medarot 2, specializing in Break attacks. His parts have the "Gravity" attribute, making him highly compatible with the Bear Medal.
Medarot R[]
His parts are obtainable from Medarot R Parts Collection by fighting Fusaku, who is ranked opponent number 61.
In the anime[]
Churlybear is used by the Ankle Biters to fight Spyke sometime after he was fired from the Screws. Churlybear was able to defeat Cyandog without effort. After hearing of Spyke losing to the Ankle Biters, Samantha used Peppercat to fight them, only to be defeated. With the assistance of Ikki and Metabee, Spyke and Cyandog were able to win their rematch against Churlybear and claimed his right arm.
In the English dub his model type is BER-2518. In the Japanese version the Ankle Biters call their Churlybear Bear-chan.
