Landmotor (ランドモーター) is a CAR-type Medarot. Its special ability is Crash Attack when in car mode.
Description[]
Landmotor is a Medabot that strongly resembles a racing car. Its two arms are the fume escapes, aswell as having wheels on his shoulders. Landmotor is better suited to fight flying Medabots, as the Anti-Air missiles on his arms can take them down quickly. His head has the Scout / Radar Sight ability.
Although Medachange wasn't included as a gameplay mechanic until Medarot 3, Landmotor is able to perform a Medachange to carry the player wherever. However his Medachange form, Land GTZ (ランドGTZ), wasn't available in Robattles until Medarot 9.
In the games[]
Medarot[]
Landmotor can be obtained to make a vehicle for Hikaru to ride. While using him as a vehicle, the player moves faster and avoids random battles.
Medarot 2[]
Landmotor cannot be obtained normally, and must be acquired by being traded from the first game. He was instead replaced by Landrotor as the vehicle that Ikki can ride.
Medabots (GBA)[]
Landmotor appears where Landrotor is obtained in Medarot 2, replacing him as the vehicle.
Medarot 9[]
Landmotor returned after a long absence, and his Medachange is now available in Robattles. The attack from both arms changed to Missile, and his leg parts are now considered a two-legged type on his normal form, becoming a vehicle type on his Medachange form. His Medachange Drives are Missile, Radar Sight, and Mobile Boost.
Medarot S: Unlimited Nova[]
Landmotor is a limited gacha Medarot. He kept most changes from Medarot 9, except that his arms returned having Anti-Air attacks.
In the manga[]
In the first Medarot manga, Landmotor was used by Hikaru and Kirara to invade the Roborobo Gang headquarters, while their friends used Lady Jet and Blue Submarine. Landmotor assisted Hikaru and Kirara in the battles inside, but he was taken down by Beast Master.
In the anime[]
Two Landmotors were used by the Rubberobo Gang to assist in their attack on Ginjyo Elementary School. They used their Medachange form, despite Medachange not being introduced until Medabots Spirit. The two Landmotors were defeated by Metabee and Samurai, and Metabee won the right arm from one of them. Metabee used his right arm as a temporary replacement for his default arm in Use the Medaforce.
Landmotor also has a few cameo appearances:
- Landmotor was one of the Medabots available in Hop Mart in the first episode.
- A Landmotor with a Bat Medal was defeated by Koji and his Sumilidon in the Citywide Robattle Tournament in the episode For Better, For Worse - Part I.
- A Landmotor can be seen running away from the Rockers in Heavy Medal.
- In Fighting Temptation, the Kilobot Tankbank defeated a Landmotor and destroyed his Medal.
In the dub, his model number is CAR-3118.
