Rokusho (ロクショウ Rokushou), also known as Head Scissors (ヘッドシザース), is a KWG-type Medabot that first appeared in the first Medarot game.

Description

Rokusho is a silver colored KWG-type Medabot based on a stag beetle that can use a Sword attack on his right arm and a Hammer attack on the left arm, specializing in grappling tactics and hand-to-hand skills. This makes him suitable to wear the Kuwagata Medal and other grappling-based Medals. His head has the Scout ability, which makes it easier for him to locate and land a hit on evasive opponents.

In the games

In the Kuwagata Version of most (but not all) games, a Rokusho with a Kuwagata Medal is the player's first Medabot and partner, while a Metabee replaces him in the Kabuto Version.

Rokusho's model number had some changes, being inconsistent early on, and his design also had some small changes, but there are basically two major version:

The first Rokusho version, KWG00-M (KWG-0 before Medarot DS), was introduced in Medarot. This Rokusho had different graphics from his artwork in the first two games, but later was changed to match his artwork. He can be told apart from the new version by the lack of blue details on the arms and knees, matching his color in the package and manual from the first game. However, a few times he also appeared with the blue details from his new version, like his sprite in Medarot Navi. In some appearances his name and parts are written in hiragana (ろくしょう / へっどしざーす) instead of katakana.

The second Rokusho version, KWG01-M (KWG-1 before Medarot DS), was introduced in Medarot 2. This version has blue details on the arms and knees.

Rokusho is Hikaru Agata's first Medarot in the Kuwagata Version.

During the events of Kuwagata Version, Rokusho is Ikki Tenryou's first Medabot, given to him by Hikaru, who sells Ikki a Tinpet and parts instead of a retort curry after his mother sends him to the store with a sum of money. However, despite his best efforts, Ikki can't make Rokusho work, as he was given no accompanying medal. After his subsequent scolding by his mother, his father brings him back a Kuwagata Medal, who unbeknownst to Ikki, had been given to his father by the elusive Phantom Renegade.

Rokusho has the best male dual-legged part from the game in terms of evasion and proximity.

Besides Ikki's Rokusho, the original Rokusho can be transfered from the first game, which will have a different appearance. In this game both have the same model number: KWG-0. Hoketa uses both versions in his Robattles, but their parts cannot be obtained from him.

Medabots (GBA)

Since the game is a remake of Medarot 2, the context where Rokusho is a character is the same as in Medarot 2: sold to Ikki by Henry while appropriating his dinner money in the Rokusho Version. The only major difference is that Rokusho's serial number changed to KWG-1 in the Japanese version. The original Rokusho (KWG-0) is not available in the remake.

Like the original, in this game Rokusho has the best male dual-legged part in terms of evasion and proximity.

Medarot R

Rokusho is obtainable from Hikaru on Hop Mart at the starter town.

Medarot 3

In the events of Medarot 3, Rokusho appears as a default character in the game, already in the ownership of Ikki. Shortly afterward, Nae will upgraded and replaced his parts by those of the new KWG-model Roks in Medaropolis.

Medarot 4

Rokusho doesn't appear as the character's main Medabot and instead must be traded from Medarot 3. This is because Ikki has already upgraded Rokusho to Roks. But Rokusho does appear as an opponent Medabot. One example of this is one of the scientists in the Medabot Corporation.

Rokusho's stats remain unchanged from Medarot 3.

Rokusho is Ikki's default leader Medabot in the Rokusho Version.

Rokusho is Azuma Amakura's first Medarot in the Kuwagata Version.

Medarot S: Unlimited Nova

Rokusho (KWG01) is a rank 3 Medarot available in almost every gacha from the game, but his older version (KWG00) is not available, only appearing occasionally as an opponent.

Rokusho is a mysterious Medabot. An old stag beetle-type (or KWG-11237 as stated in the dub versions) Medabot who possesses the Kuwagata Medal. Almost always wearing a dirty old cloak, Rokusho appears to have no master, and he sporadically appears throughout the series. He spends a lot of the series searching for his lost Medafighter. He offers words of wisdom and help to Ikki and Metabee in Robattles, however, he dislikes the idea of fighting for fun. His main goal is to protect Rare Medals, such as his own, and all forms of life.

Since Rokusho possesses a Rare Medal, he can utilize the Medaforce. Rokusho is a very solemn Medabot, but is usually polite with others. He refuses to Robattle unless it is to defend someone or something, and is the only Medabot known to go by this way of life. He is also guided by a strong code of honor.

Cards

Rokusho appeared as a card in all card games from the franchise.

Rokusho first appeared in the Medarot Card Game.

Rokusho has a card in the Medabots Trading Card Game booster set. He attacks with "Piercing the Grappling Attack", which allows you to attack a second time in the space behind the targeted Medabot with a bonus to attack power, but only if the targeted Medabot is destroyed.

Rokusho also appeared in the Medarot crossover set from Future Card Buddyfight.

Other appearances

• Rokusho appeared as a playable unit in a February 2019 event from Super Robot Wars X-Ω. In this continuity Rokusho is the Phantom Renegade's partner Medabot.
• Rokusho appeared in C21 Steel Battle Chronicles as part of a collaboration in 2019.
• Rokusho appeared in Master of Epic as part of a collaboration in 2020.
• Rokusho appeared as a Digimon in a 2021 collaboration with the mobile game Digimon ReArise and in the Medarot x Digital Monster DIM Card.
