Arcbeetle Dash[1] (アークビートル・ダッシュ), also written as Arcbeetle-Dash,[2] Arc Beetle Dash[3] and Ark Beetle Dash,[4] Arc Beetle D (アークビートルD) for short, is a KBT-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 4.

Description[]

M4-KBT-6-MC

Medachange form.

Just like Arcbeetle, Arcbeetle Dash's head part isn't compatible with the same Medal his other parts are, but he can still deal a huge amount of damage. His Appendix is weaker than Arcbeetle's head part, Prominence, but it allows one usage more. Also, Arcbeetle's Prominence is a "Beam" attack, whilst Arcbeetle Dash's Appendix is a "Laser" attack. All of Arcbeetle Dash's other parts are weaker as well, but the advantage is it allows him to Medachange into a car-like form of the Vehicle type that has the same attacks.

In the games[]

Medarot 4[]

Arcbeetle Dash appears as one of the Medabots controlled by the Phantom Renegade, among others. He is principally seen when Phantom Renegade has Redmatador and Pii as Medabots in the Robattle simulator at Ryuutou. He appears with a Kabuto Medal.

Medarot Navi[]

Arcbeetle Dash's model number is now KBT-7BX. In Kabuto Version, he is used by Rintaro during the postgame chapters. In the Kuwagata Version, he uses Tyrrellbeetle instead.

Visually, Arcbeetle Dash's Appendix head has a "sight" on its upper pylon that is absent on Arcbeetle's Prominence.

Medarot 8[]

Arcbeetle Dash is available as a DLC. His model number became KBT06-C in the new format, and his leg parts gained the effect M Charger. His Medachange is now of the Flight type, gained the move effect Adapter, and had its Drives upgraded to Hyper Beam, Heavy Rifle, and Mega Gatling.

Medarot 9[]

Arcbeetle Dash's head is now a Heavy part, and his legs have a Heavy Limit of 1 to support it.

Medarot S: Unlimited Nova[]

The effect from Arcbeetle Dash's leg parts changed to B Loader.

In the anime[]

Medabots Spirit Arcbeetle Dash episode 15

Arcbeetle Dash in the anime.

In Medabots Spirit, Arcbeetle Dash is first introduced alongside Tyrelbeetle in Metabee's Out of Body Experience as a prototype at the Medabots Corporation. They were developed by Dr. Maizu Zora, but Dr. Aki considered them too powerful for children, and they were not released. With the advent of the powerful Kilobots, Dr. Aki decided to finish the two Medabots to counter them. Dr. Aki invited Ikki and Zuru to see them, and they are given the opportunity to test them out using Metabee and Gorem-2's Medals, respectively.

Metabee finds Arcbeetle Dash's body to be extremely heavy and difficult to move properly, resulting in extremely clumsy performance during the test. Later, in Once a Medafighter (1), the two Medabots were offered as a prize in a tournament, where they were won by Ginkai. After Ginkai realized the importance of friendship and true partnership with Medabots, he decided to reuse his old Bayonet's Kabuto Medal in the new Arcbeetle Dash body, giving the Medabot the name "Arc-Dash", becoming his partner during the series.

Arc-Dash is quite like Metabee, as in addition to having a "First Medal" that allows him to utilize the Medaforce, Arc-Dash is stubborn and doesn't take orders from anyone, but is nonetheless a loyal and good friend. He is in love with Peppercat, even going so far as to hitting Blakbeetle dead-on with the Medaforce just for damaging her body and ceasing her functions.

In Once a Medafighter (2) and Into the Fire, Arc-Dash and Tyrelbeetle combined into Masterbeetle, which overpowered and defeated Redrun, but lost to Gryphon.

In the English dub, Arc-Dash is voiced by Dan Petronijevic,[5] and his model number is KBT-11220. In the Japanese version, he is voiced by Naomi Matamura.
