Nathan, known in Japanese as Kawanakajima (川中島), is a soccer star at Ginjyo Elementary School. Samantha fell in love with him, but he didn't share the same feelings because when they were younger, she defeated his Stingray easily and laughed at him, making him dislike Medafighters. He later had a Robattle against her again with Ikki's help, but still lost, yet changed his mind about Medafighters.

- In the English dub, Brandon claimed that he was Nathan's older brother, but is later revealed to be an alien. There is no mention of them being related in the original Japanese, with the young man only saying that he was a passing fan of Robattles.
