The Screws
The Screws (スクリューズ) are a school gang of three kids who like to Robattle. They first appeared in Medarot 2.
The Screws are infamous as powerful Medafighters who aren't afraid to play dirty. They once teased Ikki Tenryou for not having a Medabot, and when he got one, they challenged him for a Robattle. The Screws are shown to be associated with Baron von Banish. Though they often antagonize Ikki, they often help him out against a common enemy like the Rubberobo Gang.
Members[]
- Samantha - The leader, and the strongest Medafighter of the group. Samantha is the only girl in the group. She uses cat type Medabots like Peppercat. In the anime she is ranked 87 in the whole of Japan's Medafighters.
- Spyke - Spyke is number 2 (3 in the anime) from the group. He is the brain from the team, a self-proclaimed genius hacker. But when things get tough, he always cries out for his boss. He mainly uses dog type Medabots like Krosserdog. His anime counterpart did not display the same level of technical knowledge, and is also more insecure and the lowest from Japan's ranking of Medafighters.
- Sloan - Sloan is number 3 (2 in the anime) from the group. He is the muscle from the team, preferring powerful Medabots like Totalizer. In the games he is obsessed with cleanliness.
Corkscrews[]
The Corkscrews (コークスクリューズ) is the name Samantha gave to the group led by Ikki in the Medalympics in Medarot 3, which was originally formed by her, Ikki, and Erika. Samantha left the group in the Rosewood Private School to return to the Screws, and Koji replaced her. Karin also joined the team.
The name Corkscrews was also used in Medarot Navi for the group formed by Ikki, Erika, and the three members of the Screws.
In the games[]
The Screws study in the same school as Ikki, but they are in different classrooms.
Medarot 2 and Medabots (GBA)[]
After Ikki obtained his first Medabot and had a practice Robattle with Erika, the Screws challenge Ikki, being the player's first opponents. After defeating each member individually, they team up to Robattle together, claiming that it is not against the rules to have three Medabots in a Robattle. Ikki's Medabot then defeats all three with the Medaforce, surprising them as it was not revealed to the public yet. Later, Koji appears in the school and defeats the Screws.
During the incident in Mt. Odoro, the Screws tried to claim the parts that were rumored to have been stolen by a ghost, but they are defeated by Ikki. They are also encountered in the tournament from Medabot Island, and challenge Ikki in Medaropolis. In the Rubberobo Gang's hideout, they assist Ikki, with Spyke managing to hack their systems and Samantha assisting in some Robattles.

In the anime, the Screws study in the same classroom as Ikki, and sometimes they get in trouble with Coach Mountain. During the World Robattle Cup, all three of the Screws were picked at least once to replace Space Medafighter X on Team Japan.
During the rise of the Kilobots in Medabots Spirit, the Screws often work with Kam Kamazaki and his followers if they have a common goal and would sometimes fight against him if a deal can't be made for Kilobot parts.
