Desperado, known in Japanese as Gun-Desperado (ガンデスペラード), is a GDR-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot R.
Description[]
Desperado is an imposing Medabot that is themed after semi-automatic firearms. His body is themed after the M1911 pistol, while his arms are based on the M16A1 rifle. His shoulders are magazines while his legs are the pistol grip.
In the games[]
Desperado's parts are mainly "Gatling" attacks with shooting attribute, thus making him most compatible with the Kabuto Medal. Furthermore, being a Medabot with bipedal legs allows Desperado to work best on grassy fields.
Medarot R[]
Desperado is obtainable from Medarot R Parts Collection by fighting Youchienji, who is ranked opponent number 32.
Medarot S: Unlimited Nova[]
His model number changed to GDR00. His attacks changed, with his head now having Rifle, and both arms have the Shooting version of Anti-Air. His leg parts gained the effect Gunman. His head is now a Heavy part, and his legs have a Heavy Limit of 1 to support it.
In the anime[]
In the anime
Desperado appears in the first episode of Medabots Spirit, where he's a Kilobot used by Ginkai. The two unfairly attack Samantha's Peppercat and take her Medal, blackmailing Samantha to find them a worthy opponent in exchange for the Medal.
With no choice, the Screws trick Ikki and Metabee into fighting Desperado. Once again disobeying the rules, Ginkai and Desperado got the upper hand and to make things worse, Metabee desperately decided to use the Medaforce, which proved to have no effect on Desperado due to his lack of emotions. They were shown again attacking Erika's Brass until Ikki showed up for a rematch. Having upgraded Metabee's parts, they managed to win by using Medachange.
Desperado's head was used by Kam in Who is the Mystery Medafighter?!, and one of Desperado's arms were used by Zumi's Fotoshoot in Scoop of the Century.
In the English dub, Desperado's model number is GDR-6418, and the muzzle on Desperado's head was removed, with all scenes showing the head in use being editted and the stats screen informing that Desperado is a hammer type Kilobot, despite still looking like a pistol and having rifles on both arms.
