Rollstar (ロールスター), known in English as Stingray, is an RAY-type Medabot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description

Stingray is a bright red Medabot modeled after a lobster or crayfish. He has wheels on his feet, and can fire lasers from his claw-like hands. Though Stingray obviously takes inspiration from lobsters, he's officially listed as a crayfish Medabot, which gives him his RAY model number.

In the games

Stingray is a wheeled Medabot that specializes in optical attacks. In Medarot 1, 2, and 2 Core, he uses powerful but inaccurate "Laser" attacks, while in Medarot Navi he uses "Beam". The speed of Stingray's Leg Parts allow him to balance the high charge and cooldown time of his attacks.

In Medarot 1, 2, and 2 Core, Stingray's parts all have the "Optical" attribute, making him match perfectly with the Tortoise Medal.

In Medarot 1

Stingray is the main Medabot of Henry's rival, Yuuki. His parts can either be obtained from battles with Yuuki, or bought from a convenience store near the Robattle World Championship stadium. Although rare, Stingray can also be obtained from random battles with fishermen in the seaside cave at the beginning of the game.

In this game, Stingray has some of the fastest legs available, but his Arm Parts have extremely low armor and can be easily destroyed. He served as the mascot and starting Medabot in Medarot 1 Parts Collection 2, where the player controls Yuuki instead of Henry.

In Medarot 2

In Medarot 2, Stingray's parts aren't obtainable through normal means and instead must be transferred over from Medarot 1. He was replaced by the new RAY-type, Hoppingstar.

In Medarot 2 Core

In this remake, Stingray replaces all instances of Hoppingstar, who is not included in the game. Here, Stingray is mainly used by a boy named Hachiro in Medaropolis.

In Medarot Navi

Stingray appears again in Medarot Navi using his design from the Medarotter Rintarou manga. His head can be found shortly after arriving, while the three other parts are given to Kasumi after completing the Medatown block near the top of Cluster.

In the anime

Rollstar is used by Nathan. He and Ikki's Metabee fought together with Samantha's Peppercat and Erika's Brass.
